I had the most amazing experience at this guesthouse. The owner, whom we affectionately called "sister", went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She even lent me her backpack and swimsuit for my hiking and snorkeling adventures. During a typhoon, she took us to the port and helped us get tickets. The atmosphere was friendly and I loved meeting other guests. The location was perfect, right by the airport and bus stops, and close to popular trails. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The facilities at the guesthouse were a bit old-fashioned, with an outdoor kitchen and rustic bathroom. However, if you've stayed in similar lodges before, you'll find it interesting.

The location of the accommodation is very convenient, with easy access to public transport and a variety of nearby amenities such as restaurants and supermarkets. The outdoor kitchen is a fun feature that allows guests to cook their own meals and socialize. Additionally, the owner provides great service, helping with trip planning and offering homemade onigiri for hikes.

The shared living space and beds can be noisy, making it difficult to sleep in. Earplugs are necessary for a good night's rest.

our second stay in yakushima was even better than the first. the owner at the guesthouse was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the island and national park. she went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering delicious and affordable rice balls for our hikes. we loved the comfortable atmosphere, cooking meals together with other guests, and the convenient location near a supermarket. can't wait to come back!
